Ongoing Exclusion of Indigenous Peoples’ Representatives from the Making of Nepal’s New Constitution

This request is respectfully submitted to the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (“the Committee”) by ten Nepalese indigenous peoples’ organisations and one international NGO (“the submitting organisations”). It concerns the ongoing exclusion of indigenous peoples’ freely chosen representatives from the process of making Nepal’s new constitution and requests that the Committee continues to consider this situation under its early warning and urgent action procedures
