SC refuses to issue interim order on Tharuhat Madhes cases

Supreme Court (SC) refused to issue an interim order on the writ petition filed against the decision of the government of Nepal to proceed for withdrawal of cases against innocent Tharus and Madhesis rights activists and leaders serving jail term for more than two years without final hearing. Detainees are in judicial custody and no confirmation of the final hearing.  There is no substantial evidences against the detainees that prove their involvements.      

Indigenous and Madhesi lawyers challenged the writ lodged by the faction of lawyers stood against the GoN decision.  The indigenous and Madhes rights activists welcomed the decision of the SC.
