A two day National Workshop of Indigenous Peoples Human Rights Defenders was held on 24-25 November 2016 in Bhaktapur. Indigenous Peoples Human Rights Defenders (IPHRDs) from different districts working at the ground level participated in the workshop. They were capacitated on various topics such as; documentation skills (case file, fact-sheet writing and report writing), community level advocacy skills, use of email/internet and data security. The workshop clarified the role and responsibility of network members. Furthermore, key issues to advocate were identified and community based action plan was also outlined. The workshop was organized by Lawyers' Association for Human Rights of Nepalese Indigenous Peoples (LAHURNIP).
