A peaceful demonstration was held on 2nd September 2016 at Beshishahar in Lamjung district since the project 'Bhulbhule Mid-Marshyangdi 132 kV Transmission Line' has violated the rights of Free Prior Informed Consent (FPIC), participation and  consultation of affected indigenous and local communities  in process of this project implementation. Around 200 affected community members took part in the demonstration.

The affected communities demanded to fully implement International Labor Organization (ILO) Convention No.169 and United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP). The transmission line runs from Bhubhule (location of Upper-Marshyangdi Hydro Project) to Udipur National grid, Lamjung with around 12 Kilometer. The project is financed by the government of Nepal. The Struggle Committee has submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister and Ministry of Energy to draw their attention towards their demands.
